About me
Generally Peppers:
Well, peppers are vegetables, but that'd be what are peppers. Well, I'm a Portuguese 16 and a few months year old, on the sciences area in high school, studying to go to college and take a computer engineering degree. I like playing with the Internet, webdeving, programming and chatting on IRC mostly. I enjoy playing TF2 and gmod as well. I also like to hang out with friends and fool around. This next sentence is here because Andy from irc.tip.it asked: "I live in Portugal, otherwise known as "that sunny bit of land we think is part of Spain"". Thanks for contributing to my page :D
Technological peppers:
Peppers doesn't like Micro$oft, he really doesn't. Since February 2007 I have used Ubuntu (version 6.06 until November, version 7.04 from November until December (jesh, that long) and version 7.10 since then up until April 2008. I installed Gentoo 2008.0 then and am currently running it. It's great :D .I also have a stripped out M$ windows (bad) eXPerience as a game platform. Additionally, I installed a apache webserver on the everyday OS (ubuntu) from which I ran my own web page (yes, this one) until a few months ago, when I switched to a web server offered to me by some friends. I have done some web developing as well as some java programming. I've also done some php and postgreSQL work and some MySql (basic) systems (check the portfolio for more information)
Cultural peppers:
Finally, I'm not all computers. I also enjoy music (classic as well as rock and some blues), good TV shows (i.e. House MD, scrubs, Grey's Anatomy, Smallvile among others) and reading (not so much classics, but more modern works). I like maths, physics and chemistry, and don't dislike biology (though geology is BORING with capital B).
Favorite (virtual) places
Well, as I've mentioned in almost everywhere in this site, I like to be on irc.tip.it (the pjirc applet a few pages above connects automatically to it). As for sites, I usually am in:
- The RSC forums;
- Google (honestly, you wouldn't imagine the stuff you find);
- YouPipe;
- Here;
So, you see I am kind of an Internet junkie. But I also watch tv and play some PlayStation2. And ofcourse, I spend 5-7 hours a day in school.
